about the event
On 9th July 2023, the 5th crafting bodies event will be held by Het Lavender Chalamander in Rembrandt Park, Amsterdam 🌞
The invitation is to bring any project you are currently working on, and sit alongside other crafting bodies. Maybe you have a sweater you’d like to start, or a painting you’d like to finish. Maybe you’d like to learn a new skill and want to invite along someone who could teach you. Large or tiny, slow or quick, all are welcome to join.
The session will run from 14:00 - 18:00, where anyone and everyone is welcome to join at any time and stay for as long or short as they need or want.
There will be treats, teas, and coffee available. If you feel inspired to bring something along for yourself, or to share, please do so. There will also be a little donation jar! For this edition, it might also be a good idea to bring a blanket to sit on.
A note: the idea is to hold a ‘crafting bodies’ session every month. Some months there may be a theme, a workshop, or a proposed focus on a specific material. For this session we will again focus on the practice, exercising the idea. So bring what you want, share what you want, and do what you want. I will do the same, and bring extra writing, knitting, sewing, crocheting, drawing, and painting devices and materials.
