Hi. My name is Andrea van der Kuil.

 

I'm from Johannesburg, South Africa, and currently based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

I am an award-winning production designer, crafter, theatre-maker, performance artist, textile artist, and writer.

​

In 2015 I graduated with a BA Performing and Visual Arts from the University of Witwatersrand.

​

In 2022 I graduated with an MA Performance Practices from ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem, Netherlands.

​

My artistic research and practice focuses on textile design, durational performance, and the concepts of labour and women’s work in relation to domestic craft.
